Sales Planning - Closing
By Steven J. Schmidt
Let's get to the final part of the sales pitch, which is obviously closing the deal.
The steps that we discussed are techniques to help you get to this point. Making a sale does not always work exactly in this order. You may get someone who throws an objection at you right away. You may also get sales that literally fall in your lap, meaning that the customer may have already wanted to buy your service or product. In a situation like that, you should know not to talk too much and pretty much get right down to the point - it's actually possible to mess up a sale even if a customer wants what you're offering.
There are different approaches to closing a deal. Below are a few. More will be added later.
